Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines and is now a Filipino American actress, comedian, television host and model. This was due to a severe strep pneumonia bacterial infection. It was not until her kidneys recovered that she could be saved when she contracted an infection with septicae and eventually suffered multiple organ malfunctions. Angelica, after a year of dialysis and a half year of treatment, was ready for the most significant operation of all - the replacement of her kidney. She would receive the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica as well as her mom underwent the surgery to remove their kidneys successfully on September 13, 2013 at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from one. Angelica Hale, a young girl from Atlanta who has always thought of becoming an actor and a singer she is still working toward the dream.
